Back pressure valves
Griffco diaphragm back pressure valves have been designed to enhance the performance of chemical feed systems by applying a continuous back pressure to the chemical feed pump. At the same time, the valve also acts as an anti-syphon valve. Back pressure valves also enable optimum pulsation dampener operation. Robust construction ensures reliability in the most demanding industrial uses.
The spring–loaded valve’s threshold pressure for opening has been preset at 3.4 bar, and the adjustment range is 0.7—10 bar. The mid–pressure range models allow pressure adjustments between 3.4—24 bar.
These back pressure valves apply a spring-loaded PTFE/EPDM diaphragm. Valve body materials are available for different process chemicals and conditions. The body material options include the metal 316 SS, Alloy 20 and Hastelloy C as well as the plastic PTFE, PP, PVDF, PVC and CPVC.
Standard connections available are the threaded BSP and NPT. Alternatively, valves with ANSI or DIN flanges can be selected. The relief valves’ size classes range between 1/4”—2”.
